One Stop Motors complaint by Sumner5
I placed an add 8 months ago and the sales person told me most cars sell in 3 months or less and get more than they expect. That sales person is no longer there and I have not had one call at all. " What a rip Off". Every time I call they claim they change the add to get more exposure or we will feature your car for a full week. and of course NO RESPONSE!!! don't fall for it. We used $499 of what little money we have and when we ask for a refund they say its already been spent in adds. What a joke...

I'm not going to bash anyone here but I will say this much.. I recently posted an ad on craigslist and autotrader to sell my pickup truck. Within a week, I was receiving calls from 702-362-5930. Being as it's out of state and not a known contact, I didn't answer. I got several of these mystery calls. Recently, I decided to answer it. It was an automated message on how I could sell my vehicle and that it wasn't a dealer.

Ok, so I pressed "0" and got joe sales guy on the phone. Seemed like he wouldn't let me get a word in edge wise during his schpeel. Somewhere in there, he belched out $499 for advertising fees. (red flag). He mentioned "affiliated with auto trader" and I said I already have an ad... Oops! He claims they would sell the vehicle for retail price. Ok, so now I'm reluctant to believe the guy. I said I'd like info in writing sent to my address. He replied with "check out the web site".

So here I am, google in hand and what do I find... post after post about what scammers these guys are! Wow! I'm going to tell the guy not to contact me anymore. Where are all the honest people?! Thanks for the heads up people!

This comment is for Erik who finds it necessary to stick up for a company who has so many complaints. I did lower the price on my car by 5,000 two months ago. Its unheard of to get a quality car I'm offering for the value and significant savings. Still no call's. As far as the Gaurantee is concernd they said they will run and add until your car sells no matter how much it costs them. I checked some of the web site they claimed my car was on and it wasn't....

I don't see how your car not selling results in a scam. Did anyone GUARANTEE that the car would sell? I don't see you saying that. She said most cars sell within 3 month, not all cars. Are you asking too much for your car? Maybe the market is flooded with your car and you aren't competitive enough in your pricing. Dunno, but I don't see scam here.

And it sure seems like they are doing their best to make sure it does sell. You trying to get your money back, though, is laughable. Try doing that from the newspaper or a magazine you advertise in...not gonna happen.

How strange that you should find this post and respond to it so quickly in defense of the company David.

It's almost like you work for the company, know that people come here to complain about you ripping them off, and quickly post your B.S. story about selling your car to try to discredit the people you scam.

Of course you could've just randomly stopped by the day after the original post was made and felt compelled to defend One Stop Motors when you saw them being viciously attacked. ROFL, right.

I recommended OSM to a friend, and was pretty suprised when he showed me the articles on this site.

My '05 Accord sold two months or so after I listed with OSM. I kept in contact with customer service, made sure ads were renewed, etc. I communicated with the company, and I got my money's worth. osm is like most other online advertising, you get out of it what you put in. If you watch your ads, communicate with the company, and get your money's worth, you'll probably sell your car. If you sit around and wait for the cash fairy to drop $10,000 in your pocket, than blame them when it doesn't happen...
